IT Infrastructure Project Manager (AVD)

Position Overview
The IT Infrastructure Project Manager will be responsible for leading infrastructure projects, including cloud migrations and data center transitions, bringing proven expertise in managing complex infrastructure projects and fostering collaboration across multiple engineering teams.
This person oversees schedules, mitigates risks, and develops project plans to ensure successful execution. Additionally, this position is accountable for guiding technical teams to deliver the project on time and within scope by setting deadlines, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and clearly communicating milestones and issues to leadership.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate requirements gathering and planning with stakeholders, ensuring alignment and clear expectations.
- Manage scope of small- and medium-sized projects, balancing business and IT needs.
- Identify and manage critical paths, being mindful of upstream and downstream dependencies.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, schedules, dependencies, and status reports.
- Communicate milestone updates and keep stakeholders informed of progress and issues.
- Manage a portfolio of infrastructure, balancing resources and resolving conflicts across teams.
- Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and external partners to support infrastructure project delivery.
- Support project closeout and capture lessons learned.
Required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- 3+ years of project coordination or project management experience on small and medium-size projects.
- Has facilitated IT infrastructure projects from planning through completion.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams like database, app dev, data science, integrations.
- Experience engaging and collaborating directly with Director and VP-level executives in a corporate environment.
Nice to have
- Professional project management certifications (e.g. CAPM, CompTIA Project+, APM, PMP, etc.) highly desirable.
- Experience facilitating IT projects in mergers & acquisitions and/or manufacturing environments.
- Formal education in a technical discipline or hands-on IT infrastructure experience preferred.
