As a
IT Infrastructure lead - Storage and Recovery you will be responsible for leading and enabling a team that delivers reliable, secure, and scalable infrastructure services across storage, backup & recovery, and Linux platforms. This role plays a critical part in supporting Koch businesses globally by ensuring operational excellence, service reliability, and continuous improvement across infrastructure services.

You will be part of a global Infrastructure Operations team within – Koch Technologies India, which provides compute, networking, storage, recovery, and collaboration services to Koch Industries worldwide.

What You Will Do
- Lead and manage engineers supporting Storage, Backup & Recovery, and Linux platforms
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations ensuring service stability, reliability, and SLA adherence
- Assign and prioritize work, manage escalations, and support operational decision-making
- Drive incident, problem, and change management, including root cause analysis
- Ensure backup success, restore readiness, and DR testing aligned with business objectives
- Collaborate with global stakeholders to align service delivery with business outcomes
- Monitor platform performance, capacity, and risks; drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Identify and deliver automation and optimization opportunities aligned with business value
- Provide coaching, feedback, and development support to team members
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies and ensure effective backlog and task management
- Participate in on‑call and escalation support, including weekend coverage when required
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Proven experience managing Infrastructure Operations or Platform teams
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Enterprise Storage platforms
- Backup & Recovery concepts (RPO, RTO, DR, immutability)
- Linux operating systems (SUSE, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu)
- Hands‑on technical foundation in infrastructure and Linux administration
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders
- Experience working in Agile or collaborative delivery models
- A trusted people leader who builds strong, collaborative team environments
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience with Commvault, Cohesity, or similar backup and recovery tools
- Exposure to AWS or hybrid cloud environments
- Experience with disaster recovery architectures and recovery orchestration
- Automation or scripting skills (Shell, Python)
- Demonstrated success improving service reliability and operational efficiency
- Strong stakeholder management skills with global or large enterprise teams
- Prior experience in global infrastructure operations environments
