Professional Qualifications Bachelor's/Master's in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering
Experiences 15-25 yrs (10 yrs at Leadership Role), with hands-on experience with ERP, PLM, MES, and plant IT systems
Job Purpose
To lead the IT function as a strategic business partner, driving digital transformation, manufacturing excellence, and enterprise integration. The role is accountable for delivering secure, scalable, and high-availability systems that enhance productivity, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making across engineering and plant operations.
Business Excellence
- Lead, develop and implement IT initiatives that enable the organization to compete more vigorously and more profitably in a constantly changing and demanding marketplace
- Analyze IT infrastructure current and long-term requirements as per the business need and prepare IT Roadmap
- Implementation of new projects in line with the IT roadmap
Plan and manage the IT budget with strong cost governance and variance control
IT Infrastructure Management
- Plan and scale enterprise-grade IT infrastructure aligned with business growth
- Ensure efficient provisioning of IT assets through standardized processes and vendor management
- Identify right vendors who could provide hardware and software support economically with quality of services
- Award AMC for IT equipment, servers, computers and laptop and network infrastructure
Build and maintain a robust, secure, and scalable IT infrastructure showing cost improvements YOY
ERP, CRM and Security Management
- also ensure reliable data recovery mechanism
- Generate relevant MIS reports and share with management
- Set office automation standards within the company and oversee acquisition, deployment, and support of office support systems
- Keep SAP and other ERP running without any interruptions and create user awareness for effective uses and implementation
- Ensure secure and reliable data across manufacturing and business systems
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity measures
- Align IT systems with audit and compliance requirements
Identify and mitigate risks related to data, systems, and operations
SAP & Manufacturing Integration
- Drive end-to-end ERP (SAP) effectiveness, ensuring integration across finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and HR systems with high data accuracy and business alignment
- Ensure real-time linkage between production, procurement, stores and finance
- Improve accuracy of BOM, routing, costing, and inventory records
Working knowledge of FI, CO, MM, PM, PP, QM, HRMS etc. modules
