Imaging Endpoints is based in Scottsdale, Arizona, with offices in Cambridge, Massachusetts; London, UK; Leiden, Netherlands; Basel, Switzerland; Hyderabad, India and Shanghai, China. The IT Database and Windows System Administrator is responsible for maintaining and optimizing databases, servers, and storage systems to ensure smooth IT operations. This role includes database setup, troubleshooting, and resolving system issues, as well as performing preventive maintenance and responding to alerts. The Administrator collaborates with application teams, manages backups, and participates in disaster recovery. The role also involves automating tasks, monitoring system performance, and providing after-hours support when needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Experienced in designing and implementing data warehouse solutions preferably on AWS Cloud
- Knowledge and experience in Bigdata solutions like Hadoop, Redshift etc.
- Expertise in DBMS/RDBMS systems such as MYSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MSSQL – at least two databases
- Database maintenance and support. Setting up and maintenance of production databases.
- Identify and resolve data inconsistencies and system issues.
- Performs preventive administration duties to ensure the availability of servers and databases in the data center.
- Works with application administrators for the support and maintenance of various applications such as OsiriX, PACS, Mint Lesion, or other similar applications in Medical Imaging
- Ensures backups are successful and recover data as needed; participates in disaster recovery activities.
- Follows SOP documents and provides feedback for process improvements.
- Knowledge of servers and storage solutions.
- Knowledge of Windows2016/2019, and Active Directory.
- Familiarity with writing scripts and stored procedures for automation and reporting.
- Familiarity with tools for database health checks, anomaly detection and observability.
- Provides after-hours support.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in computer science is preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in Database Administration
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Data Warehousing/Bigdata exposure
- Relevant certifications are required.
