About the role
The Product Manager for Talent Management & DEI acts as the strategic owner of the product, accountable for defining the product vision, shaping the roadmap, and ensuring successful delivery of business outcomes across the full lifecycle-from ideation through to build, test, deployment, adoption, and retirement.
Your responsibilities
Product Ownership & Strategy
- Own and drive the short- and longterm product vision for Performance Management /Succession planning and career and talent development including strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment to business goals.
- Actively challenge requirements to ensure solutions address the true business need, not just the initial request.
- Translate business needs into a prioritised product backlog, managing dependencies and ensuring maximum value delivery. Communicate effectively with engineering teams.
- Leverage market trends and insights to shape product opportunities.
Stakeholder Leadership & Communication
- Serve as the primary link between business stakeholders and the IT delivery team, ensuring clarity, alignment, and transparent communication.
- Influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams to cocreate and maintain the product roadmap.
- Confidently challenge assumptions, manage expectations, and guide stakeholders toward the right decisions.
- Provide structured and regular updates on plans, risks, timelines, and mitigations.
Requirements & Business Consultancy
- Lead discovery conversations to understand the root business problem and define the Why behind requirements.
- Work with Business Analysts and Solution Architects to design the right solutions and define business scenarios and use cases.
- Ensure requirements are clear, testable, and aligned to desired outcomes.
Delivery Leadership
- Own delivery of endtoend projects, using agreed methodologies and ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with technical teams responsible for solution architecture, development, and testing-ensuring they have the clarity needed for successful delivery.
- Drive continuous improvements using product performance metrics, adoption insights, and customer feedback.
- Ensure compliance and risk management across the product scope.
- Ensure quality assurance and service transition to support teams
The experience we're looking for
Functional:
. Minimum 8+ years of experience in working with core HR systems - Talent Management, Core HR
. Strong understanding of the product / software delivery lifecycle.
. Experience in SuccessFactors PMGM /Succession modules preferable.
. Abreast of the latest market trends and how this translates into product opportunities and challenges
. Experience in leading cross-functional, diverse teams to achieve results
. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for developing product use cases and determining the associated impact
Technical:
. Strong understanding of requirements elicitation and management techniques
. Knowledgeable about product performance measures and metrics
. Experience of applying relevant Agile frameworks and methodologies, e.g., Scrum, XP
. Experience and understanding of working with system integrations across platforms.

. Software delivery methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
