Job Description

The IT Asset Manager is responsible for managing the lifecycle of all IT assetshardware, software, and cloud resourceswithin the organization. This role ensures assets are tracked, optimized, compliant, and aligned with business objectives to maximize value and minimize risk. 35 years of experience in IT Asset Management or similar roles

Must have knowledge of how to manage and hands on Fixed assets register with help of Finance team and must have experience on Physical Assets Validation and IT assets audit.

  • Implements tracking systems (e.g., barcode tools).
  • Regular reconciliation and audit of asset data
  • Maintains documentation for audits, licensing
  • Ensures data accuracy
  • Works closely with IT, Finance, Operations, and Procurement teams
  • Generates regular MIS reports on asset performance, utilization, ageing, and compliance
  • Identifies gaps and implements asset management best practices

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Full IT Asset Lifecycle

Oversee planning, procurement, deployment, maintenance, and secure disposal of IT assets.

  • Maintain Accurate Inventory along with FAR

Keep centralized records of all hardware, software, licenses, and warranties with FAR update

  • Ensure Compliance & Risk Mitigation Monitor licensing agreements, vendor contracts, and regulatory requirements to avoid penalties and security risks.
  • Optimize Costs & Utilization Analyse usage data to identify underutilized assets, reduce waste, and reinvest savings into strategic initiatives.
  • Reporting & Auditing Conduct regular audits and generate reports on asset performance, cost, and compliance.
  • Collaboration Work closely with IT, finance, procurement, and security teams to align ITAM goals with business priorities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and lifecycle management
  • Knowledge of ITAM tools and software solutions
  • Familiarity with licensing, compliance, and regulatory frameworks
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Certifications like ITIL, IAITAM Certified Asset Management Professional (CAMP) are a plus

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
