Job Title: Hardware Asset Management (HAM) Operations SME
Role Summary
We are hiring a
HAM Operations SME to support a client IT Asset Management engagement. You will run day-to-day
hardware inventory governance in
Flexera ONE, improving discovery coverage, data quality, reconciliation, and contract/lease visibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor hardware discovery coverage and scan freshness; investigate gaps and drive remediation with IT teams
- Identify and manage stale, duplicate, and orphaned devices; maintain exception logs and closure tracking
- Support hardware normalization and reconciliation; validate key identifiers and data consistency
- Improve ownership, location, and cost center completeness; coordinate updates via source systems/processes
- Maintain and validate asset–contract/lease linkage; support lease reporting (location, return date, cost)
- Produce and refresh HAM dashboards and monthly governance summary; contribute to governance forums
- Follow runbooks/SOPs and support incident/root-cause summaries related to inventory health
Key Focus Areas
- Hardware inventory coverage & freshness dashboard
- Exception reports: missing attributes, duplicates, stale/orphan devices
- Lease and contract linkage reports (as applicable)
- Monthly HAM governance summary + action tracker updates
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 4–8+ years in HAM/ITAM operations (client delivery preferred)
- Hands-on experience with Flexera ONE (preferred) or comparable tools
- Strong understanding of discovery sources (agents/scanners/AD/MDM), inventory hygiene, and lifecycle basics
- Strong Excel/Sheets skills; comfortable analyzing large datasets and exceptions
- Clear communication and coordination across IT operations teams
- ITIL Foundation; IAITAM certification (CSAM/CHAMP)
- Exposure to ServiceNow or similar ITSM tooling
