Position: IT Asset Management Associate Engineer

P99soft is looking for an experienced a skilled and detail-oriented ITAM Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on expertise in managing IT assets and maintaining documentation portals, paired with an initiative taking mindset. This role requires someone who can effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to ensure smooth, compliant, and efficient asset operations across the full hardware and software lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities : -
Asset Management
- Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of IT assets from delivery and deployment to maintenance and retirement.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date asset database.
- Ensure assets are tracked, accounted for, and compliant with organizational policies at every stage of the lifecycle.
Stockroom & Inventory
- Manage stockroom operations organization, labeling, and storage of IT hardware assets physically and on database portals.
- Conduct regular audits and reconcile physical inventory against ITAM system records.
- Monitor stock levels and coordinate replenishment with the team.
Asset Imaging & Deployment
- Perform OS imaging, configuration, and deployment on devices.
- Maintain standard imaging templates aligned with IT policies; validate devices before user deployment. Data Validation & Documentation
- Ensure accuracy of asset data across ITAM portals and documentation systems.
- Perform routine validation checks, resolve discrepancies, and maintain comprehensive asset records.
Asset Allocation & Returns
- Execute allocation workflows for new joiners, transfers, and exits; manage the full return and refurbishment cycle.
- Maintain accurate custodianship records and ensure timely lifecycle updates in the ITAM system.
Procurement Collaboration
- Liaise with the Procurement team on purchase requisitions, vendor coordination, and asset delivery validation.
- Reconcile received assets against POs and maintain procurement documentation.
Process Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies in asset workflows and implement improvements to reduce turnaround time and improve accuracy.
- Document revised processes and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills :
- Advanced Excel: formulas, pivot tables, macros, and data visualization.
- Power BI: creating detailed reports and dashboards.
- ServiceNow: hands-on experience with asset management and ITSM workflows.
- Documentation tools: Excel, Google Sheets, and ITAM portals (e.g., Lansweeper or equivalent).
Hardware Knowledge
- Solid understanding of IT hardware computers, servers, networking equipment, and gaming peripherals.
Soft Skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail.
- Effective communicator with the ability to negotiate and collaborate across teams and with vendors.
- Self-driven; able to work independently and as part of a team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
- 24 years in IT Asset Management or a related IT operations role.
- Certifications such as ITIL Foundation or IAITAM CSAM are a plus.
