Job Location : Bangalore and Trivandrum
Experience Range : 2 to 5 years
This position will play a key role in ensuring effective management of software asset across organization, management of contracts for IT assets and related services, compliance monitoring in all areas of software licensing and management of IT asset related information, procurement co-ordination and management of technology inventories and has hands-on experience working with SAM tools and other methodologies to identify, track and maintain software assets across the organization.
Requirements:
- Oversee the full lifecycle of software assets, including procurement, deployment, tracking, maintenance and retirement ensuring effective management of all software applications across the organization
- Deep understanding of licensing concepts for major OEMs and assist in ensuring software deployments are in line with licensing requirements for Major OEMs.
- Experience in working with SAM tools to analyse software deployments, track software usage and manage the entire software asset lifecycle including installation, tracking and optimization.
- Analysing software deployments spread across organization and preparing license usage report to support decision making and ensure compliance. Recommend strategies to optimize license utilization.
- Collaborate with procurement team to ensure that software acquisition align with existing entitlement, licensing requirement and organizational needs.
- Maintain records of software purchase agreements and entitlements
- Conduct periodic audits to ensure compliance with licensing agreements and minimize risk of penalties. Oversee the processes for external audits to ensure successful outcomes.
- Work closely with cross functional team to address their licensing queries and understand their software usage requirements and provide appropriate cost saving suggestions.
- Use ticketing tool like ServiceNow to ensure IT tickets are addressed promptly and within the specified SLA and ensure tickets are closed satisfactorily.
- Work according to the defined software policies, processes and guidelines to ensure compliance
- Collect information for budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contract summaries, and cost comparisons.
- Prepare and present regular reports to management on the current software compliance status, highlight risk, non-compliance areas and overall progress in maintaining license compliance.
- Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement in SAM processes and practices, keeping up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends.

- Experiencing leading IT asset management professionals. Develop strategies, goals and plans for work group and provide work direction and priority setting for employees.
- Ensure that appropriate measures are in place to determine team productivity and help continuous improvement initiatives for success within the team
- Effective time management skills to manage various responsibilities, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
Specialization/Certifications:
- SAM/HAM certification is desired.
- Strong experience in interpreting software license terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with various licensing models and vendor agreements.
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with software asset management and discovery tools and strategies.
Strong organizational and coordination skills to work with cross functional teams and experience in managing SAM related projects.
