Job Description: IT Administrator

Experience & Education: 2–5 Years of Experience, Preferred Engineering Graduates from Computers Background.

Location: Baner, Pune, India

Employment Type: Full-time – 5 Days Work from Office

Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive and reliable IT Administrator to manage and maintain the organization's IT infrastructure, ensure smooth day-to-day technical operations, and provide timely support to employees. The role requires a balance of hands-on troubleshooting, vendor coordination, and system administration.

Key Responsibilities

1. IT Infrastructure & Systems Management

  • Install, configure, and maintain hardware (laptops, desktops, printers, routers, etc.)
  • Manage operating systems, software installations, and updates
  • Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of IT systems
  • Maintain network infrastructure including LAN, Wi-Fi, and internet connectivity

2. User Support & Helpdesk

  • Provide first-level technical support to employees for hardware and software issues
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to laptops, email, VPN, and applications
  • Coordinate with external IT vendors for advanced issue resolution
  • Maintain IT support logs and track issue resolution timelines

3. Asset Management

  • Maintain inventory of IT assets (allocation, tracking, and audits)
  • Manage onboarding and offboarding IT requirements (device allocation, access setup, recovery)
  • Ensure proper documentation of asset lifecycle

4. Security & Compliance

  • Ensure systems are secure with proper antivirus, firewall, and access controls
  • Manage user access, permissions, and password policies
  • Support implementation of IT policies and compliance requirements
  • Regularly back up critical data and ensure recovery mechanisms

5. Vendor Management

  • Coordinate with IT service providers, AMC vendors, and procurement teams
  • Track vendor performance and ensure timely service delivery
  • Manage hardware/software procurement and renewals

6. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain IT documentation (SOPs, policies, configurations)
  • Generate reports on IT assets, issues, and system performance
  • Suggest improvements for system efficiency and cost optimization

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong knowledge of Windows/Mac OS environments
  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN)
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace administration
  • Troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues
  • Understanding of IT security best practices
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in IT support / administration
  • Experience working with IT vendors and service providers preferred

Good to Have

  • Certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft Certified, etc.
  • Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira)
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (GCP, Azure)

  • Asset audit accuracy
