Role Description

  • The individual in this role leads the implementation and maintenance of ISO 27001 and related information security management systems, working closely with cross-functional teams to design, document, and enforce security policies and controls.
  • Daily responsibilities include conducting gap assessments, performing risk analyses, defining remediation plans, and coordinating internal audits to ensure continual improvement and certification readiness.
  • The role also involves providing guidance on regulatory compliance, collaborating with engineering and operations teams to embed security into cloud and AI solutions, and preparing audit-ready documentation and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • The ISO Lead Implementer serves as a key point of contact for security standards, driving awareness, training, and best practices across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in ISO 27001 implementation, management, and auditing, with experience in designing and maintaining information security management systems (ISMS).
  • Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, GDPR, and related regulatory requirements in cloud and AI environments.
  • Experience working with enterprise cloud architectures (preferably AWS), including security controls, risk management, and secure deployment practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct risk assessments, gap analyses, and remediation planning, with clear documentation and reporting skills.
  • Effective stakeholder management, communication, and training capabilities, including the ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., ISO 27001 Lead Implementer / Lead Auditor, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent) are highly beneficial.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
