Role Description:

Position Overview:As a Consultant (L7 or L8), you will be a member of our ISC team, responsible for supporting the delivery of complex EHS assignments across industrial and infrastructure sectors. The role requires a client-facing professional with strong subject matter expertise in Indian EHS regulations and US Industrial Hygiene standards, capable of managing technical workstreams, engaging with clients, and contributing to business growth. You will function as a task manager on projects, driving quality delivery, supporting proposal development, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, while progressively building functional leadership and consulting capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and drive the growth of the SER/SO team in GEC India
  • Assist with proposals and technical reviews
  • Actively participate in global communities of practice
  • Lead the delivery of Sustainable Operations and compliance projects
  • Support the delivery of research projects and thought leadership pieces (articles, technical bulletins, presentations)
  • Deliver high-quality work within strict deadlines
  • Participate in a mix of office-based and field-based work
  • Mentor and train junior staff
  • Apply strong consulting skills to understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions

Role Accountabilities:

  • Manage and deliver EHS and Industrial Hygiene projects, ensuring technical accuracy, regulatory compliance, and high-quality outputs
  • Apply advanced knowledge of Indian EHS regulations and US Industrial Hygiene standards during audits, assessments, and advisory assignments
  • Conduct EHS and Industrial Hygiene audits, exposure assessments, and compliance evaluations across industrial facilities
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports, risk assessments, and compliance documentation for client deliverables
  • Engage directly with client stakeholders, providing technical guidance on regulatory compliance and risk mitigation
  • Support proposal development, technical scoping, and cost estimation for EHS and Industrial Hygiene consulting assignments
  • Identify opportunities to expand services within existing client engagements and support business development initiatives
  • Participate in on-site audits, exposure monitoring programs, and compliance assessments across client facilities
  • Demonstrate consulting skills by building client relationships, facilitating discussions, and presenting solutions

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in environmental science, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 810 years of relevant experience in EHS and Industrial Hygiene consulting or a related industry
  • Strong knowledge of Indian EHS regulations and US Industrial Hygiene standards (e.g., OSHA, ACGIH)
  • Proven consulting skills, including client engagement, needs assessment, solution development, and stakeholder management
  • Experience in project management, proposal development, technical reviews, and business development
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and train junior staff
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Willingness to travel for on-site audits and field assignments, as required

Preferred:

  • Proven capability in technical report writing and documentation
  • Experience in client engagement and stakeholder communication
  • Prior exposure to proposal development and costing of consulting assignments
  • Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 50%) for site audits and project delivery
