Job Description

  • Manage industrial relations, ensuring compliance with labour laws and company policies.
  • Act as a liaison between management and employees to address grievances and resolve disputes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to foster a positive workplace culture.
  • Coordinate with unions and represent the organisation in negotiations and discussions.
  • Monitor and manage employee performance and disciplinary actions as required.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety standards across the workplace.
  • Prepare reports and documentation related to industrial relations activities.
  • Support HR initiatives and contribute to the overall success of the Human Resources department.

The Successful Applicant

A successful IR Specialist should have:

  • A degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of labour laws and regulations within the automotive industry.
  • Experience in handling union negotiations and employee grievances.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships at all levels.
  • Problem-solving abilities and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in report writing and documentation.
  • A proactive approach to maintaining a harmonious workplace environment.
