Location : Mumbai- Hybrid

NP : 30 days

IPv6 Planning & Design Profile:

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement IPv6 network deployment plans aligned with organizational goals.

Design IPv6 addressing schemes, subnetting, and hierarchical IP plans to support current and future network growth.

Plan and design IPv6 routing architectures using protocols such as OSPFv3, BGP for IPv6, and EIGRP for IPv6.

Create detailed network design documentation and deployment guides for IPv6.

Assess existing IPv4 infrastructure readiness for IPv6 migration and recommend transition strategies (dual-stack, tunneling, translation).

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including network operations, security, and application teams for IPv6 deployment.

Lead IPv6 pilot deployments and oversee full-scale rollouts across LAN, WAN, data center, and cloud networks.

Monitor and troubleshoot IPv6 deployment issues and provide solutions to optimize performance.

Establish IPv6 security policies and best practices to protect network infrastructure.

Maintain up-to-date knowledge on IPv6 standards, deployment methodologies, and vendor technologies.

Provide training and technical support to engineering and operations teams on IPv6.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.

Proven hands-on experience in IPv6 network design, planning, and deployment.

Deep understanding of IPv6 protocols and features (addressing, DHCPv6, Neighbor Discovery, ICMPv6).

Expertise in IPv6 routing protocols: OSPFv3, BGP, and EIGRP for IPv6.

Familiarity with IPv6 transition mechanisms: dual-stack, 6rd, ISATAP, NAT64, and tunneling methods.

Experience with network infrastructure hardware (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, Huawei).

Knowledge of network security considerations in IPv6 environments.

Strong documentation and project management skills.

Industry certifications such as Cisco CCNP/CCIE/JNCIS/JNCIE with IPv6 focus preferred.

Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
