Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and implement IPTV/video streaming solutions for internet-delivered content
- Work on DRM integration and content protection technologies including Widevine, FairPlay, and PlayReady
- Support streaming protocols such as HLS and MPEG-DASH
- Conduct Proof of Concepts (POCs) and lab testing for new streaming features and architectures
- Troubleshoot video playback, DRM, and streaming-related production issues
- Collaborate with product, architecture, QA, operations, and vendor teams
- Create technical documentation, implementation guides, and architecture documents
- Assist in root cause analysis and performance optimization for streaming workflows
- Support cloud-native and containerized environments for streaming applications
- Participate in feature validation across Smart TVs, IPTV devices, and set-top boxes
Required Skills
- Strong experience in IPTV / OTT / Video Streaming platforms
- Hands-on experience with DRM technologies:
- Google Widevine
- Apple FairPlay
- Microsoft PlayReady
- Good understanding of:
- HLS
- MPEG-DASH
- Adaptive Bitrate Streaming
- Knowledge of video delivery workflow:
- Encoding
- Packaging
- CDN Delivery
- Playback architecture
- Experience with REST APIs, JSON, and web technologies
- Understanding of SCTE, VAST, or Ad Insertion workflows
- Experience troubleshooting streaming/video playback issues
- Familiarity with Linux environments and debugging tools
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with RDK-V development
- Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud-native applications
- Experience with Swift/XCode or client/player application development
- CI/CD pipeline exposure
- Knowledge of OTT ecosystem and connected TV platforms
