We are seeking an experienced IPDRG Coder/Senior Coder to join our healthcare team in Omega. The ideal candidate will have 1-10 years of experience in medical coding, specifically with a focus on IPDRG. This role involves analyzing medical records, assigning correct coding, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze medical records to identify and assign appropriate IPDRG codes.
- Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and coding queries.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding standards and changes in regulations.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives to improve coding accuracy.
- Provide training and guidance to junior coders, if applicable.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proficient in IPDRG coding and medical coding standards.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Familiarity with coding software and electronic health record systems.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in coding assignments.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS) is mandatory.
- Graduation in life sciences degree.
