Description
We are seeking an experienced IPDRG Coder/QA to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing medical records, assigning codes, and conducting quality assurance to ensure compliance with coding standards.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze medical records for accuracy and completeness.
- Assign appropriate codes for diagnoses and procedures based on IPDRG guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with coding regulations and standards.
- Conduct quality assurance audits to ensure coding accuracy and adherence to policies.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to resolve discrepancies in documentation and coding.
- Provide education and training to staff on coding standards and best practices.
Skills and Qualifications
- 2-5 years of experience in medical coding, specifically with IPDRG systems.
- In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and coding conventions.
- Proficiency in coding software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS, CCA) is preferred.
