Senior iOS Engineer – Job Description

About the Role
We're looking for a technically curious, self-starting Senior iOS Engineer to join our mobile team. This role focuses on integrating third-party tools, solving complex infrastructure challenges, and building reusable components that power our mobile experiences. Your mission is to make the hard things easy for others—you'll be the one who figures it out, documents it, and makes it scalable.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate new components and SDKs into our iOS applications
- Collaborate with infrastructure, backend, and mobile teams to resolve integration challenges
- Build reusable modules and interfaces for front-end engineers to consume
- Document integration patterns, edge cases, and best practices for internal teams
- Stay ahead of SDK updates, platform changes, and emerging tools
What We're Looking For
- Strong experience in both front-end and back-end development using Swift, Cocoa Touch, and Xcode
- Proven ability to work with third-party SDKs and solve integration challenges
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and backend service integration
- Understanding of networking, threading, and app lifecycle (including cross-platform awareness)
- Ability to work independently, ask the right questions, and drive solutions proactively
- Technically curious with a passion for exploring how things work and why they break
- Excellent communication skills and ability to write clear, concise documentation
Additional Skills
- Hands-on experience with SwiftUI, UIKit, Foundation, Core Data, and Core Animation
- Solid grasp of design patterns: MVC, MVVM, Singleton, Observer, Builder, etc.
- Deep understanding of the iOS app lifecycle—from modular architecture to App Store deployment
- Exposure to backend systems and API design
- Comfort with logging, monitoring, and performance optimization tools
- Understanding of mobile UX principles and design systems
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, GitHub, Jenkins, Gradle, and Agile methodologies
