What is Jar

Jar is a savings app that helps its users save daily in the form of digital gold — we wish to help Indians rediscover the long-term benefits of habitual daily savings in an era where instant gratification is king. 

Jar was founded by Nishchay AG, former director and founding member at mobility start-up Bounce, and Misbah Ashraf, founder of community-focused e-commerce platform Marsplay.

What does Jar do

Jar is building a micro-wealth management platform, one step at a time — starting with micro savings, financial literacy, micro investments, and encouraging people to habituate the act of saving.

Responsibilities

• Owning significant architectural and product areas of the platform
• You'll make the key decisions and see them through to successful user engagement
• Delivering features that make a big impact on our growth journey
• Writing high-quality, highly-performant code
• Pushing changes every week
• Participating in code reviews and architectural discussions - we want you to bring your expertise to the team and make us all better engineers

Qualifications

• Possess 2 - 5 years of experience in product development, architecture, and design-
• Experienced in Swift, or have a strong desire to shift to swift
• Strong understanding of algorithms
• Experienced in UIKit & Swift UI
• Strong knowledge of iOS frameworks, and different versions of iOS, and know how to deal with different screen sizes
• Experience with storage, threading, and performance tuning
• Strong knowledge of iOS architectural components and design patterns
• Are good in pixel-perfect implementation of designs
• Deep understanding of memory management, multi-threaded programming, and synchronization 

• Note: This role requires you to learn Kotlin multi-platform as all the business logic will be in Kotlin & the UI part will be in iOS native.
