Role Description
The iOS Engineer will focus on designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality native iOS applications for Clinvvo's innovative health-tech platform. The role involves building scalable, secure, and performant mobile experiences, collaborating closely with backend, product, and clinical stakeholders, and solving complex technical problems to improve the experience for healthcare providers and patients.
Work Location: Gurgaon (hybrid).
Responsibilities
- Lead the in-house development and maintenance of native iOS applications (patient-facing and clinician-facing)
- Translate product and stakeholder requirements (often loosely defined) into clean, maintainable, and testable Swift code
- Own the iOS app architecture, performance, stability, and release quality
- Collaborate closely with backend engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver features aligned with the roadmap and timelines
- Integrate iOS apps with backend APIs, real-time services, and third-party SDKs
- Continuously improve app performance, reliability, and user experience
- Ensure adherence to Apple App Store guidelines, security best practices, and healthcare compliance requirements
- Be economically aware and manage development time and resources responsibly
Experience
- 3+ years of native iOS development experience, with at least one production-grade app shipped and maintained on the App Store
- Strong proficiency in Swift and modern iOS frameworks (UIKit and/or SwiftUI)
- Solid understanding of iOS app architecture patterns (MVVM, Clean Architecture, etc.)
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and handling asynchronous workflows, background tasks, and offline states
- Hands-on experience with iOS app performance optimization, memory management, and debugging
- Familiarity with Apple ecosystem tools: Xcode, Instruments, TestFlight, App Store Connect
- Experience working with CI/CD for iOS builds and releases is a plus
- Understanding of security, privacy, and data handling best practices (especially in regulated domains)
- Experience working in health-tech or other regulated industries is a strong plus
- Exposure to AI-powered features in mobile apps (e.g., AI-driven summaries, voice, or smart workflows) is a bonus
