Inward Manager – Jewellery Operations

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Inward Manager to oversee the complete inward operations of gold, diamond, silver, and jewellery products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing product receiving, quality verification, pricing, vendor coordination, inventory accuracy, documentation, tagging, and audit compliance while ensuring smooth inward process flow across all product categories.

Key Responsibilities

Inward Operations Management

• Manage end-to-end inward processing of jewellery products, including new stock, repair stock, modification stock, and customer orders.
• Ensure accurate receipt, verification, documentation, and system updates of all inward products.
• Monitor inward workflow and maintain operational efficiency within the department.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and inward process standards.

Vendor Coordination & Purchase Verification

• Coordinate with vendors regarding product deliveries, pricing, quantity verification, weight verification, and quality issues.
• Resolve discrepancies related to purchase bills, product shortages, excess quantities, and quality concerns.
• Verify purchase invoices against approved vendor price lists and management approvals.
• Manage vendor return parcels and ensure proper evaluation before dispatch.

Pricing & Marking Control

• Supervise pricing and marking of jewellery products as per approved pricing policies.
• Verify pricing books, marking slips, and management-approved price sheets.
• Ensure making charges, margins, and pricing structures are accurately reflected on all products.
• Review and approve pricing for repairs, modifications, and special orders.

Inventory & Stock Management

• Ensure proper tagging of all inward products on a daily basis.
• Monitor stock movement and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Verify shop-to-shop transfers, stock allocations, and product movements.
• Ensure inventory accuracy and minimize stock discrepancies.

Audit & Compliance

• Conduct regular audits of inward and outward registers.
• Verify product movement records including:
• Product Inward & Outward Registers
• Repair Inward & Outward Registers
• Order Transfer Registers
• Security Lot Registers
• Inward Lot Registers
• Prepare audit reports and discrepancy reports for management review.
• Ensure all inward documentation is maintained accurately and systematically.

Repair & Modification Management

• Monitor inward repair and modification products.
• Prepare quotations for repair and modification requests.
• Obtain management approvals before processing.
• Track completion and movement of repair items.

Vendor/Karighar Account Management

• Review vendor and karighar account statements periodically.
• Verify calculations, balances, and transactions.
• Coordinate with management for approvals and reconciliations.

Team Management

• Lead and supervise the inward operations team.
• Allocate daily tasks and monitor productivity.
• Ensure adherence to timelines and quality standards.
• Train team members on process compliance and inventory controls.

Preferred Qualifications

• Graduate in Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Jewellery Retail, Inventory, Inward Operations, or Stock Management.
• Experience handling Gold, Diamond, Silver, and Precious Jewellery products.
• Knowledge of jewellery pricing, making charges, wastage calculations, and inventory controls.
