We are seeking an experienced Invoice to Cash (ITC) Team Lead to support and coordinate end-to-end Accounts Receivable operations, including Credit Management, Collections, Cash Applications, Dispute Resolution, and AR Reporting. This role combines operational leadership, stakeholder management, process excellence, and financial controls to ensure efficient cash flow management, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Support
- Provide day-to-day guidance, coaching, and operational support to Invoice-to-Cash team members.
- Act as a primary escalation point for operational issues and customer concerns.
- Foster a culture of accountability, compliance, continuous improvement, and proactive problem-solving.
- Support team development through coaching, knowledge sharing, and best-practice implementation.
- Partner with management to drive performance against operational goals and strategic objectives.
Operational Excellence
- Support execution of key performance indicators (KPIs), service level agreements (SLAs), and operational targets.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency across the Invoice-to-Cash cycle.
- Support enterprise system implementations, automation initiatives, and process transformation programs.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and external audit requirements.
- Drive standardization and continuous improvement initiatives across AR operations.
Credit Management
- Assess customer creditworthiness and support credit risk evaluation activities.
- Review and approve customer credit limits based on risk profiles and business needs.
- Monitor customer exposure and manage credit hold processes.
- Maintain accurate customer credit documentation and risk records.
- Partner with commercial and finance teams to manage customer risk effectively.
Collections Management
- Oversee collection activities to ensure timely recovery of outstanding receivables.
- Review collection worklists and prioritize high-risk accounts.
- Support negotiation of payment arrangements and resolution of overdue balances.
- Monitor Days Sales Outstanding (DSO), aging reports, and collection performance metrics.
- Manage doubtful debt provisions, bad debt monitoring, and agency referrals when required.
- Ensure customer communications and collections activities are professional and compliant.
Cash Applications & Receivables Processing
- Support cash application activities, including payment posting and allocation.
- Monitor receipt processing, remittance management, and account reconciliation activities.
- Resolve unidentified receipts and payment discrepancies.
- Coordinate customer communication for missing remittance information.
- Process refunds, rejected payments, and account adjustments.
- Ensure Accounts Receivable transactions are accurately reconciled to the General Ledger.
Dispute & Deduction Management
- Oversee customer deduction and dispute resolution processes.
- Conduct root-cause analysis to identify recurring issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Coordinate collection of supporting documentation and resolution approvals.
- Process deductions, write-offs, adjustments, and settlements according to policy.
- Monitor dispute trends and implement process improvements to reduce future occurrences.
- Provide reporting and analysis related to dispute and deduction performance.
Reporting & Analytics
- Monitor AR performance metrics and provide actionable insights to management.
- Prepare reports related to collections, DSO, disputes, cash application, and credit risk.
- Analyze trends and identify opportunities to improve working capital performance.
- Support management reporting, forecasting, and business reviews.
- Utilize operational data to drive decision-making and process optimization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 4-6 years of relevant finance or Accounts Receivable experience.
- Experience in one or more areas of:
- Credit Management
- Collections
- Cash Applications
- Dispute/Deduction Management
- Accounts Receivable Reporting
- Experience working in Shared Services, Global Business Services (GBS), or multinational environments.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Demonstrated customer-focused mindset and attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA, CPA, CMA, or progress toward a professional accounting or finance certification.
- Experience using ERP platforms such as SAP or equivalent systems.
- Experience with cash application and AR automation tools such as HighRadius.
- Familiarity with financial process automation and digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience supporting global or multi-country operations.
