Role Overview:
We are looking for a seasoned Account Director – Investor Relations with deep capital markets experience to lead strategic IR mandates for listed companies. The role requires the ability to advise senior management on capital markets positioning, shape long-term equity narratives, and strengthen engagement with institutional investors and analysts.
The ideal candidate should bring strong relationships within the capital markets ecosystem, a nuanced understanding of investor expectations, and the ability to guide companies in building credibility and visibility in public markets. This role will also contribute to practice growth through new business development and strategic client engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior management and promoters on capital markets positioning, investor communication, and perception management.
- Lead and oversee Investor Relations mandates for listed companies across sectors.
- Guide the development of equity narratives, investor presentations, earnings messaging, and strategic communication for capital markets.
- Leverage relationships with buy-side and sell-side stakeholders to enhance investor access and engagement for clients.
- Provide insights on market perception, valuation drivers, peer positioning, and investor sentiment, advising management on improving market understanding.
- Lead earnings cycles, investor days, roadshows, and analyst interactions, ensuring high-quality execution and strategic messaging.
- Build and nurture strong relationships across the capital markets ecosystem, including fund managers, analysts, institutional investors, and market intermediaries.
- Mentor and guide internal teams to deliver high-quality IR advisory and client servicing.
- Drive new business development, contributing to the growth of the IR practice through client acquisition and strategic partnerships.
Candidate Profile:
- 8–15 years of experience in equity research, investor relations, institutional sales, investment banking, or capital markets advisory.
- Strong capital markets network and relationships with investors, analysts, and market participants.
- Demonstrated ability to advise senior management on equity positioning and investor communication strategy.
- Deep understanding of financial analysis, valuation frameworks, and capital market dynamics.
- Ability to interpret complex business models across sectors and articulate compelling equity stories.
- Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills.
- Proven ability to contribute to business development and practice growth.
