The Chief of Staff is a strategic partner to the Head of Investment Services (IS) Technology, International and Agentic AI, serving as an extension of their leadership team. This role acts as the central integrator across technology strategy, execution, governance, and communication, ensuring alignment across platform engineering, Agentic AI, product delivery, and global technology organizations.

The Chief of Staff will play a critical role in driving execution of the technology and AI agenda, supporting operating rhythm, preparing executive-level materials, managing cross-organizational priorities, and ensuring disciplined follow-through across a complex, global technology ecosystem.

The Chief of Staff will help translate the Head of Investment Services Technology, International and Agentic AI's vision into execution, ensuring clarity, transparency, and momentum as State Street scales advanced Agentic platform capabilities globally.

What you will be responsible for

As Investment Services Technology, International and Agentic AI Chief of Staff, you will be responsible for:

Strategic Execution & Business Management

• Act as the primary business management partner to the Head of Investment Services Technology, International and Agentic AI.

• Coordinate technology strategy execution, annual planning, goal setting, and performance tracking across platform engineering, product delivery, and AI initiatives.

• Drive alignment across platform engineering & science, product and pods delivery, onboarding programs, cloud infrastructure, security, and AI governance.

• Track critical decisions, risks, dependencies, and execution milestones, ensuring escalation, accountability, and closure.

Executive Communications & Governance

• Lead the preparation of executive updates, board materials, and leadership presentations, translating complex technical topics (Agentic AI, platforms, cloud, data, security) into clear executive narratives.

• Manage submissions, materials, and follow-ups for technology, AI, and enterprise governance forums.

• Orchestrate leadership meetings, operating reviews, and forums across Investment Services Technology and partner organizations.

Technology & AI Operating Model Enablement

• Support the operating model for Agentic AI platforms and pods, spanning:

  • Infrastructure & AgentOps

  • Products & Experiences

  • Core AI Science

  • Data, Knowledge, and System Integration

• Partner closely with engineering, science, product, infrastructure, security, and IAM teams to ensure coordinated delivery and prioritization.

• Enable cross-enterprise integration with Investment Services, Global Delivery, Markets, Corporate, and the broader Global Technology Services teams.

Portfolio, Program & Change Management

• Oversee execution of strategic and cross-cutting initiatives across Agentic / AI portfolios.

• Support onboarding, readiness, and adoption efforts for new platforms, AI capabilities, and enterprise technology services.

• Establish and reinforce disciplined operating cadence, reporting standards, and execution hygiene across global teams.

Representation & Enterprise Integration

• Represent Investment Services Technology and Agentic AI in Enterprise Business Management, CAO, and cross-technology working groups as needed.

• Act as a trusted connector between technology leadership, business partners, and enterprise functions.

What we value

These skills will help you succeed in this role:

• 18-20+ years of experience in technology, engineering, AI, product management, or program/portfolio management within large, complex organizations.

• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence, partnering with senior technology and business leaders across geographies.

• Strong experience synthesizing complex technical and AI concepts into concise, executive-ready communications.

• Proven capability in strategic thinking, execution management, and operating within ambiguity and scale.

• Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with an obsession for quality and follow-through.

• Experience working with cloud platforms, data, AI/ML, prompt engineering, platform engineering, or enterprise technology transformations strongly preferred.

• Bachelor's degree required advanced degree (MBA, MS, or equivalent) preferred.
