Job Role: Investment Banking Intern
About The Role
As an Investment Banking Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in key areas such as investor
reporting, investor engagement, fundraising, and stakeholder communications. This role provides a
platform to develop your analytical skills and industry knowledge while working alongside
experienced professionals.
Responsibilities
Fundraising & M&A
- Assist the team during fundraising by supporting the preparation of placement memorandums,
investor pitch presentations, and due diligence questionnaires.
Investor Engagement
- Record all investor engagement activities for reference and ensure action items are promptly
followed up until closure.
- Support the team in delivering investor-related tasks within set timelines.
- Assist with relationship building and networking with potential investors.
Stakeholder Communications
- Aid the leadership team in ensuring timely and error-free communication with external
stakeholders, including media.
- Help draft press releases, journalist Q&As, factsheets, and other organizational
communications.
Investment Banking Support
- Collaborate with the Investment Banking Head on executing private equity (PE) deals.
- Conduct research and analysis on industries, competitors, and macroeconomic factors.
- Assist in building business models, preparing pitch books, designing financial models, and
structuring deals.
- Support deal origination, management, and closure processes, including due diligence and
negotiation.
- Analyse core financial data to create financial models for valuations (e.g., property, business)
and forecast trends.
- Conduct market research on stocks, commodities, and other investment opportunities.
- Assist in drafting valuation reports, transaction documents (e.g., term sheets, share subscription
agreements), and business plans.
- Support debt and equity fundraising activities by identifying potential investors and clients.
Process Improvement
- Contribute to creating reports, tools, and Excel dashboards to improve processes.
Basic Qualifications
- Graduation in progress or completed (Qualified CA or MBA in Finance preferred).
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and data-gathering skills.
