Job Description

Job Title: Investment Banking Associate (M&A)

Location: Bangalore - Work from Office

Department: Investment Banking

Reports To: Partner

About Client:

A venture capitalbacked advisory platform that provides end-to-end investment banking supportspanning valuations, M&A, fundraising, and strategic executionto help high-growth companies scale and unlock long-term value.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Modeling & Valuation:

o Create detailed financial models, including discounted cash flow (DCF),

precedent transaction, and comparable company analysis.

o Perform business valuation using multiple methodologies (e.g., DCF, market

comps, precedent transactions).

o Analyze financial statements, income statements, balance sheets, and cash

flow statements.

2. Transaction Execution:

o Support the execution of mergers, acquisitions, debt and equity financings,

and restructuring transactions.

o Coordinate and manage deal processes, including preparing pitch books, deal

presentations, and client communications.

o Conduct due diligence by working with legal, accounting, and other advisors.

o Assist in drafting transaction documents such as term sheets, offering

memoranda, and client presentations.

3. Market & Industry Research:

o Stay up-to-date on market trends, industry developments, and competitor

activities.

o Provide insights and research on potential investment opportunities or

market dynamics.

o Analyze market data and compile industry reports to support client

strategies.

4. Administrative & Reporting:

o Assist in the preparation of pitch decks, proposals, and other client-facing

documents.

o Monitor and report on transaction progress and financial performance.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:

o CA or MBA from a reputed B School

Experience:

o 2-3 years of experience in investment banking or a related field.

o Experience in M&A, debt/equity capital markets, or other advisory services is

highly preferred.

Technical Skills:

o Strong proficiency in financial modeling and analysis (Excel).

o Expertise in financial statement analysis, accounting, and valuation

techniques.

o Excellent skills in PowerPoint for presentations and report creation.

Soft Skills:

o Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

o Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
