Investment Associate

About the Role:

Favcy Venture Builders focuses on co-building purpose-led ventures through a combination of operational expertise, strategic investment, and structured market validation. The organization partners with founders to refine business models, test product–market fit, and accelerate growth. By integrating capital with hands-on venture-building support, Favcy helps early-stage companies de-risk and scale more efficiently. This is a full-time, on-site role based in South Delhi, where the Investment Associate will support end-to-end investment activities and work closely with a diverse portfolio of startups across multiple sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Startup Sourcing & Screening

• Source potential startups and conduct preliminary screening.
• Prepare investment memos for evaluation.

2. Financial Modeling & Analysis

• Build and maintain financial models, including projections, valuations, and scenario analyses.
• Perform market and competitor research to support investment decisions.

3. Due Diligence

• Assist in due diligence across business, financial, and operational aspects of potential investments.
• Evaluate financial, legal, and operational risks of prospective deals.

4. Portfolio & Reporting

• Track portfolio performance across investments.
• Prepare reports and presentations for the investment committee.

5. Stakeholder Collaboration

• Collaborate with founders and internal teams to support strategic initiatives for portfolio ventures.

Essential:

• Strong Finance and Investments skills, with a solid understanding of venture capital and startup ecosystems.
• 1–3 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, consulting, startups, or a similar role.
• Financial Modeling skills, including building projections, valuations, and scenario analyses.
• Robust analytical skills to interpret data, assess business models, and support investment decisions.
• Due diligence capabilities to evaluate financial, legal, and operational risks of potential investments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and presentation tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively with founders and internal stakeholders.

Good to Have:

1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
2. Postgraduate degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA).
3. Prior experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, consulting, or startup environments.
