Job Description

VCMint is a founder-led early-stage fund backing venture-scale startups with private capital, with selective participation in growth to pre-IPO rounds and a global outlook from its base in Hyderabad. The Investment Analyst is an operations and execution partner to the investing team, driving deals through the funnel, ensuring diligence rigor and supporting portfolio momentum so partners can focus on judgment and founders on building.

Role Overview

  • Manage end-to-end deal workflow, founder communication and internal coordination across sourcing, diligence and portfolio.​
  • Build and maintain systems, trackers and templates that keep the pipeline, diligence and portfolio highly organized and searchable.​

What You Will Own

Deal Pipeline & Workflow

  • Maintain CRM as single source of truth with accurate stages, histories, timelines and status.​
  • Manage founder touchpoints, follow-ups and decision tracking; flag and escalate stalled deals.​
  • Build trackers and weekly/monthly funnel reports on sourcing volume, conversion and stage metrics.​

Diligence & Execution

  • Scope and coordinate legal, financial, tech and commercial diligence with external partners and data rooms.​
  • Maintain red-flag logs, consolidate findings into executive summaries and closing readiness checklists.​

Financial Modelling & Analysis

  • Build opportunity models (revenue bridges, runway, unit economics) and valuation/comparables summaries.​
  • Prepare financial appendices and maintain modelling templates and benchmarks.​

Investment Committee Support

  • Compile IC packages: memos, models, diligence summaries, term sheets and presentations with clear theses.​
  • Document IC decisions and evolve decision frameworks and templates.​

Portfolio Operations

  • Onboard new investments (cap tables, rights, board docs) and set monitoring cadence (MIS, check-ins).​
  • Track key portfolio metrics, prepare performance summaries and support follow-on case preparation.

Systems & Knowledge

  • Own CRM data quality, adoption and reporting; build playbooks and evaluation frameworks.​
  • Recommend tools that improve deal quality, speed and founder experience.​

Ideal Profile

  • 1–3 years in venture capital, angel networks, growth equity, IB, M&A or startup operations with strong communication, financial modelling and CRM discipline.

Process

  1. Phone screen on background, motivation and communication clarity.​
  2. CIO interview on operational thinking, deal judgment and founder empathy.​
  3. Case study: evaluate a hypothetical opportunity and prepare an investment memo.​
  4. Partner + CIO interview to debrief the case and assess cultural fit.​
