- Identify emerging startups, sectors, and investment trends
- Build and maintain relationships with founders, accelerators, incubators, and ecosystem participants
- Conduct industry mapping and competitive landscape analysis
Investment Evaluation
- Analyse startup business models, unit economics, financial statements, and growth metrics
- Conduct market sizing, customer analysis, and competitive bench-marking
- Support due diligence processes including commercial, financial, operational, and legal reviews
- Prepare investment memos, screening notes, and presentations for internal investment committees
Portfolio Support
- Monitor portfolio company performance against KPIs and investment theses
- Support portfolio reporting and valuation exercises
- Assist portfolio companies with market research, fundraising preparation, and strategic initiatives
- Participate in board meeting preparation and portfolio reviews
Fund & Reporting Support
- Assist in preparation of investor reports and fund performance updates
- Support fundraising materials and LP presentations
- Assist with sector reports, market intelligence, and thematic investment research
A Successful Investment Analyst Should Have
- Educational Qualification - Should have completed their under-graduation from a Tier-1 institute
- Experience Required - 1 to 3 years of experience with a mix of consulting and strategy role with an AI/SaaS startup
- Sector exposure - AI/SaaS exposure preferred
- Strong financial analysis and modeling skills
- Understanding of startup metrics, valuation methodologies, and venture investing
