Job Description

Assistant Manager – Inventory & Logistics

Role Objective

To manage end-to-end inventory, warehouse, logistics, and RMA operations, ensuring high stock accuracy, seamless spare parts flow, timely closure of RMA cases, and smooth operational support in line with brand SLAs and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and stock reconciliation.
  • Monitor stock movement, aging, and consumption trends.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and safety of inventory.
  • Conduct periodic cycle counts and physical audits.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy as defined KPIs.

Warehouse Operations

  • Manage inward and outward material movement.
  • Ensure proper GRN, stock allocation, and dispatch processes.
  • Optimize warehouse space utilization and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with warehouse SOPs and audit requirements.

Spare Parts Management

  • Monitor spare parts availability across locations.
  • Control issuance, tracking, and consumption of spare parts.
  • Ensure optimum stock levels to avoid shortages or excess inventory.
  • Coordinate with procurement and service teams for forecasting.

RMA Management

  • Handle complete RMA lifecycle management.
  • Coordinate with brands, account managers, and service centre's.
  • Ensure timely closure of RMAs within SLA timelines.
  • Maintain accurate RMA documentation and status tracking.

Process & Compliance

  • Implement and improve operational SOPs.
  • Ensure audit readiness and documentation compliance.
  • Identify process gaps and drive operational improvements.
  • Generate MIS reports and operational dashboards.

Team Management

  • Supervise warehouse and inward/outward operation teams.
  • Monitor team productivity and operational discipline.
  • Train staff in process adherence and operational standards.

Requirements

  • 3–6 years of experience in Inventory, Warehouse, Logistics, or Service Operations.
  • Experience in Electronics/Consumer Durable industry preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control and warehouse management.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems(SAP/Tally/Oracle preferred).
  • Good analytical, coordination, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple operational activities simultaneously.
