Job Description
echos above is hiring
Inventory & Supply Chain Lead
We're looking for someone to own the system behind how echos above makes, stores and moves sneakers.
Our inventory is getting more complex. More colours, sizes, materials, production batches, vendors and locations.
Right now, we need someone who can bring order to all of it.
You'll work closely with the founder, factory, warehouse and vendors to make sure we always know what we have, what we need, what's being made and what needs to happen next.
What you'll own
Inventory
Own inventory across raw materials, components and finished goods. Keep physical stock and system stock aligned.
Production
Plan production based on sales, inventory, demand and upcoming launches. Track production from planning to finished stock.
Procurement
Plan material requirements, raise purchase requirements and follow up with vendors so production doesn't get held up.
Warehouse & Logistics
Own stock movement, inward, transfers, dispatches and warehouse coordination.
Vendors & Factory
Work directly with suppliers and the factory on quantities, timelines, shortages and delays. Make sure things actually move.
Planning & Forecasting
Build simple systems to understand what we should produce, when we should reorder and where inventory is getting stuck.
Reporting
Build weekly MIS for the founder. Clear numbers. Clear problems. Clear actions.
Systems
Build the spreadsheets, trackers and processes that turn a messy supply chain into one reliable source of truth.
What we're looking for
You don't need to have worked in sneakers before.
You do need to be extremely comfortable with numbers, spreadsheets and messy problems.
You should be able to:
* Build and work with large Excel / Google Sheets
* Use Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS, XLOOKUP / INDEX-MATCH
* Clean, reconcile and analyse data
* Build inventory dashboards and reports
* Forecast stock and plan replenishment
* Work across multiple data sources and create one reliable view
* Use Shopify, ERP, WMS, OMS or inventory software
* Build simple automations wherever they save time
More importantly, you take ownership.
If inventory doesn't match, you find out why.
If production is going to be delayed, you know before it becomes a problem.
If a vendor misses a timeline, you follow up.
You shouldn't need someone telling you what to check every morning.
Who this is for
Someone with 1–5 years of experience in supply chain, inventory, operations, D2C, retail, manufacturing or a similar environment.
The exact industry matters less than how you work.
We care about people who have:
* Built or fixed systems
* Taken ownership without waiting for instructions
* Worked directly with vendors or factories
* Been responsible for numbers that actually matter
* Worked in environments where things weren't already figured out
* A serious bias towards action
You don't need to have managed a huge supply chain.
But you should be the kind of person who sees a messy spreadsheet and thinks:
Let me fix this.
Who this is not for
If you need everything documented before you start, someone else to build your reports, or a perfectly organised system to work with, this probably isn't the role.
We're still building.
The job is to build the system, not just operate one.
Chennai
1–5 years experience
