About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Vascular Interventional Radiologist to join
our medical team in the Caribbean region. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical
expertise, advanced interventional radiology skills, and a patient-centered approach to
delivering high-quality vascular care. This role involves performing minimally invasive image-
guided procedures, managing vascular disorders, and collaborating closely with
multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform a wide range of vascular and non-vascular interventional radiology procedures
including:
o Angiography, angioplasty, and stent placement
o Thrombolysis and thrombectomy
o Embolization procedures
o Central venous access
o IVC filter placement and retrieval
o Peripheral vascular interventions
• Interpret diagnostic imaging studies such as CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and X-rays
relevant to vascular conditions.
• Evaluate patients pre- and post-procedure, ensuring safe and optimal care outcomes.
• Participate in emergency on-call rotations as required.
• Work closely with vascular surgeons, cardiologists, radiologists, and other specialists in
integrated patient management.
• Provide expert guidance on interventional procedures to referring physicians and
clinical staff.
• Document clinical findings, treatment plans, and patient progress accurately and timely.
Quality, Compliance & Safety
• Ensure all procedures follow established clinical protocols, safety standards, and
regulatory guidelines.
• Contribute to departmental quality improvement initiatives, audits, and training
sessions.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of interventional radiology advancements and best
practices.
Qualifications & Requirements
• MBBS/MD degree with specialization in Radiology from a recognized institution.
• Fellowship or formal training in Interventional Radiology (preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in vascular interventional radiology.
• Valid medical license and eligibility for registration in the Caribbean region (support
may be provided for credentialing).
• Proficiency in interpreting diagnostic imaging and performing image-guided
interventions.
• Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and patient management skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Skills
• Experience with advanced endovascular techniques.
• Familiarity with hybrid operating rooms and state-of-the-art IR equipment.
• Commitment to continuous learning and teaching (if applicable).
• Culturally sensitive and adaptable to working in a diverse Caribbean healthcare
environment.
