Job Description

Consultant Interventional Radiologist

Healthcare Tertiary care hospitals & image-guided intervention services. We operate a high-acuity, procedure-first interventional radiology program delivering diagnostic and minimally invasive therapeutic care across oncology, vascular, and emergency medicine pathways. This is an on-site position based in India, embedded within a multidisciplinary clinical team.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic image-guided procedures including angiography, embolization, percutaneous tumor ablation, biopsy/drainage, central venous access, and vascular interventions.
  • Plan and execute CT-, ultrasound- and fluoroscopy-guided procedures with a focus on patient safety, radiation optimisation, and sterile technique.
  • Interpret cross-sectional and procedural imaging (CT, MRI, ultrasound, DSA), generate timely reports, and communicate findings to referring teams.
  • Lead peri-procedural clinical care: pre-procedure assessment, informed consent, sedation/analgesia coordination, and post-procedure follow-up and complication management.
  • Work within multidisciplinary tumor boards and vascular teams to design individualized, evidence-based treatment plans and escalate complex cases appropriately.
  • Maintain procedural documentation, quality metrics, and participate in continuous improvement, protocol development, and training of junior clinicians and radiology staff.

Qualifications

  • MBBS with MD/DNB (Radiology) or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Radiology.
  • Valid registration with the appropriate Indian medical regulatory authority.
  • Proven clinical experience in interventional radiology within a tertiary-care or high-volume IR suite.

Preferred

  • Fellowship or formal training in Interventional Radiology/endovascular interventions.
  • Experience with PACS/RIS, DICOM workflow and digital angiography (DSA) systems.
  • Prior involvement in multidisciplinary oncology programs, clinical research, or teaching.
