Role & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic coronary angiography and therapeutic PCI (including complex lesions) with goal-directed, evidence-based technique and radial-first approach where appropriate.
- Lead acute coronary syndrome (STEMI/NSTEMI) management in the cath lab—deliver timely reperfusion, coordinate on-call STEMI pathways and communicate with emergency and ICU teams.
- Plan and execute image-guided interventions using IVUS/OCT/FFR; integrate intraprocedural imaging to optimise stent selection and deployment.
- Participate in the multidisciplinary heart team for case selection and pre-/post-procedural planning for complex coronary and structural cases.
- Ensure procedural safety, radiation protection, documentation, inventory control and compliance with institutional protocols and national regulations.
- Mentor junior cardiologists and cath-lab staff, contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement and outcomes reporting.
Skills & Qualifications Must-Have
- Recognised cardiology fellowship (DM/DNB or equivalent) with formal interventional training
- Valid medical registration with State Medical Council in India
- Percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI)
- Coronary angiography
- Intravascular ultrasound(IVUS)
- ACLS certification
Preferred
- Experience with optical coherence tomography(OCT)and physiology guidance (FFR/iFR)
- Expertise in complex coronary interventions (CTO, rotational atherectomy) or structural interventions (TAVR/MitraClip experience)
- Track record in academic publishing, clinical trials participation or structured teaching roles
