A leading organisation in the Tertiary Cardiology & Interventional Cardiology sector delivering acute and elective cardiovascular care across high-volume cath lab programs and advanced structural interventions. This on-site role in India focuses on delivering evidence-based invasive cardiology, acute coronary syndrome management, and participating in multidisciplinary cardiac services to improve patient outcomes.
Primary job title: Interventional Cardiologist
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic coronary angiography and complex percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) including multivessel and high-risk procedures.
- Manage acute coronary syndromes and cath-lab emergencies (STEMI, unstable angina), providing rapid decision-making and hands-on intervention.
- Use intracoronary imaging and physiology (IVUS, OCT, FFR/iFR) to guide lesion assessment and optimize procedural outcomes.
- Lead cath lab governance: ensure protocol adherence, device inventory oversight, radiation safety, and quality metrics reporting.
- Work collaboratively with cardiac surgery, anesthesiology, ICU, and nursing teams to coordinate peri-procedural care and post-procedure follow-up.
- Mentor junior cardiology staff, contribute to training programs, and participate in multidisciplinary case reviews and clinical governance meetings.

Essential Qualifications & Professional Requirements
- DM / DNB Cardiology or equivalent with formal training/fellowship in Interventional Cardiology.
- Valid medical registration as required for practice in India.
- Proven track record of independent cath lab practice with experience in complex PCI and acute coronary syndrome management.
- Demonstrated ability to lead quality improvement, adhere to clinical protocols, and maintain procedural documentation.
Preferred
- Chronic total occlusion (CTO) intervention experience
- Structural heart procedures experience (e.g., TAVR, mitral interventions)
- Rotational atherectomy and other advanced plaque-modification techniques
