A leading player in the Food & Beverage / Agricultural Commodities sector focusing on premium basmati rice production and global exports. We supply high-quality rice to retail, foodservice, and bulk-trade channels across Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Asiaseeking an experienced on-site International Sales Manager to grow export revenue and deepen distributor partnerships.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and execute export sales strategy: target markets, channel segmentation, pricing, and annual revenue goals for basmati rice and allied SKUs.
- Build and manage distributor and key account relationships across international marketsdrive order growth, service excellence, and margin improvement.
- Lead commercial negotiations: contracts, payment terms, pricing, rebates, and long-term supply agreements with overseas buyers and importers.
- Oversee order-to-delivery lifecycle: coordinate forecasts, inventory allocation, export documentation, and logistics with operations and freight partners to ensure on-time shipments.
- Monitor market intelligence and competitor activity; generate timely sales reports, pipeline forecasts, and actionable recommendations for pricing and product positioning.
- Represent the business at trade shows, buyer meetings, and customer audits; collaborate with QA and regulatory teams on product standards and country-specific compliance.
Skills & Qualifications Must-Have
- Proven track record in export sales or international business development for agri-commodities or FMCG (basmati rice experience preferred).
- Deep knowledge of export documentation and trade compliance, including Incoterms and customs procedures.
- Strong commercial acumen: pricing strategy, contract negotiation, and account growth management.
- Experience managing distributor networks, channel incentives, and order-to-cash processes.
- Familiarity with international logistics and freight coordination for containerized shipments.
- Ability to analyse sales data, prepare market forecasts, and present commercial plans to senior management.
Preferred
- Experience with CRM tools (Salesforce or similar) and ERP systems (SAP SD or equivalent).
- Existing network of contacts in Middle East, Europe, or African import markets.
- Exposure to food safety standards and regulatory approvals for export markets.
