International Long Distance Engineer Surveillance

We at Jio are hiring for International Long Distance Engineer Surveillance and L1 FM IP (24*7) for Navi Mumbai Location.

Key requirements are

1. Education : B.E in Electronics & Engineering / Computer Engineering / Information Technologies/Computer Science
2. Experience of 8- 12 years

Job Description

1. Troubleshoot network cases and customer service cases escalated by L1 Engineer
2. Perform analysis and diagnosis on complex networking problems, identify issues and resolve faults.
3. Proactively analysis Internet traffic pattern & backbone links utilization and do traffic optimization best available path.
4. Liaise with Planning team, Billing team , NLD TAC ,IP Transit service Provider, Internet Exchange, Private Peers, ILD Transport team and Global PoP Engineers to manage and clear Network / IP Products related faults.
5. Communicate with L1 engineer /ILDPoP Engineers / RHE engineers and escalate where necessary both internally and externally in order to meet SLAs
6. Train newly joined L1 engineer and Share knowledge on ILD network
7. Maintain MTTR,MTTN,RFO,RCA and Service reports to the customers as per the KPI
8. Follow Global work instructions to all laid down procedures and ensure service quality.
9. Handle escalations and be a focal point to all IP network related queries.
10. Participate in Planned works Impact analysis before performing Planned event Schedule.
11. Maintain proper documentation of Lesson Learn, repeated cases, Internet traffic analysis.
12. Additional responsibility to manage DCN network , International Roaming and Voice setup.
13. Initiate and take part in planned restoration and normalization activities as per laid down procedure.

Key Deliverables

1. Reduce downtime on network related fault by providing workarounds and alternatives.
2. Resolve / Restore traffic impacted customer services within define MTTR
3. Execute scheduled planned work in Switches ,Routers at all domestic & international POP locations .
4. Maintain MTTN and MTTR as per defined SLA
5. Emergency provisioning work on receipt of works order
6. Complete Major/Minor planned event activity within maintenance window
7. Alarm Management as per set KQI and levels in technical support.
8. A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment.
9. ILD NW Node Availability for service
10. ILD PoP/GW Availability for service
11. 1.1ILD Link availability for service
12. IPBB and IPT Availability
13. Team development & Skill upgradation

Skill Sets

1. Working experience in Core NOC operations in Global domain.
2. Technical competence in Cisco, Juniper routers and switches and Firewalls
3. Basic understanding of Transport /Voice/International Roaming Network
4. Certification : CCNA/CCNP ( Routing & Switching)
5. Hands-On experience on Routing & Switching and routing protocols BGP /ISIS/OSPF/MPLS/Class of Services/Firewall
6. Traffic engineering , routing Policy
7. Cisco ASR9K ,1K, Nexus Switch and Firewall
8. Good analytical and problem-solving skills
9. A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment.
10. Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources
