Role OverviewWe are looking for a full-time professional based in Mumbai to drive international trading and export business across pharmaceuticals, medical devices, ophthalmics, nutraceuticals and allied products. The role requires someone with prior trading experience and existing international client/distributor relationships, who can combine market research with active business development and deal execution.
Key ResponsibilitiesInternational Trading & Business Development- Manage and grow export sales with existing international distributors and clients
- Develop new distributor and importer relationships across Africa, Balkans, Middle East and EU
- Lead commercial discussions on pricing, MOQs, margins, exclusivity and territories
- Own the end-to-end trading cycle from enquiry to order closure
Market Research & Opportunity Mapping- Identify high-potential markets, products and buyers
- Research import trends, pricing benchmarks and demand patterns
- Map key distributors, hospital suppliers, clinic networks and wholesalers
- Track competitor products and positioning
Manufacturer & Supply Coordination- Leverage a network of Indian manufacturers across multiple product categories
- Align market requirements with manufacturing capacity, certifications and timelines
- Coordinate samples, documentation and technical details for exports
Execution & Coordination- Support export documentation and logistics in coordination with internal teams
- Maintain BD pipeline, follow-ups and reporting
- Build long-term, repeat-business relationships
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Business, International Trade, Commerce, Management, Pharmacy, Life Sciences or Engineering
- MBA or Postgraduate qualification in International Business / Marketing / Trade is preferred but not mandatory
- 410 years of experience in international trading, exports or business development
- Proven experience working with international clients and distributors
- Prior exposure to pharma, medical devices, ophthalmics or nutraceuticals is strongly preferred
- Strong commercial, negotiation and communication skills
- Comfortable working with manufacturers, documentation and logistics
