Job Description

Join OP. Tech as a Technical Screening Specialist and play a pivotal role in shaping high-impact technology teams. This is not just a screening role; you will act as a gatekeeper of technical excellence, partnering closely with recruiters and business leaders to identify top talent across Architecture, Product, AI/ML, Cloud, and Engineering.

You ll be at the forefront of hiring decisions, influencing who gets hired and directly impacting the quality and success of our teams. If you enjoy evaluating talent, understanding diverse technologies, and being a trusted voice in hiring, this role offers both breadth and strategic influence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial technical screenings for candidates across multiple domains (Architecture, PM, Analysts, AI/ML, Cloud, Software Development, Engineering).
  • Evaluate candidates on technical skills, problem-solving ability, and role fit based on predefined criteria.
  • Provide clear, structured, and actionable feedback to recruiters and hiring stakeholders.
  • Partner with recruiters to refine screening frameworks and improve evaluation quality.
  • Participate in customer intake discussions to understand technical requirements, role expectations, and hiring challenges.
  • Translate customer requirements into effective screening strategies and assessment criteria.
  • Ensure a consistent, fair, and high-quality candidate experience throughout the screening process.
  • Stay updated with the latest technology trends across relevant domains to ensure accurate evaluations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong technical background in one or more areas: Software Development, Cloud, AI/ML, Data, or Architecture.
  • Prior experience in technical interviewing, screening, or hiring support is highly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of multiple tech stacks, frameworks, and modern technology practices.
  • Ability to assess candidates across varied technical roles (not limited to a single specialization).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to provide objective, structured, and unbiased feedback.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making capability.

Good To Have

  • Experience working with recruitment or talent acquisition teams.
  • Exposure to customer-facing roles or intake discussions.
  • Familiarity with structured interview frameworks and assessment tools.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Participate in OP monthly team meetings, and participate in team-building efforts.
  • Contribute to OP technical discussions, peer reviews, etc.
  • Contribute content and collaborate via the OP-Wiki/Knowledge Base.
  • Provide status reports to OP Account Management as requested.
