Role Description

Title: Internal Controls Apprentice

Team: Internal Controls & Compliance

Location: Bangalore

Reporting to: Manager – Internal Controls

Duration: 6 months

Qualification: MBA in Finance

Primary Purpose of Role: You will be expected to learn the internal controls environment and governance routines within a global GCC landscape. Your primary focus is to develop a strategic, tactical, and operational risk compliance mindset while gaining hands-on exposure to audit concepts and technical tools based on Power App, SQL, and PWA platforms. By the end of the program, you will understand how to maintain a robust compliance environment in a dynamic, diverse cultural setting.

Key tasks & Learning path

1. Global Reporting & Communication

  • Master MS Excel for global dashboarding and data analysis.
  • Develop professional written communication skills to interact effectively with Zonal and GCC stakeholders.

2. Governance & Operational Delivery

  • Learn governance routines to ensure delivery of tasks with 100% completeness and accuracy.
  • Build a foundational understanding of audit and finance concepts.

3. Technical Tool Proficiency (PBI, SQL, Power Apps)

  • Gain exposure to technical platforms including Power BI (PBI), SQL, and Power Apps.
  • Learn to track MICS (Minimum Internal Control Standards) data quality through global PBI modules.

4. Project Management & Team Collaboration

  • Learn Stakeholder Management and Project Management to navigate a corporate environment.
  • Build mutual working relationships and learn to operate effectively within a cross-functional team.
