About the Role

We're building something exciting inside The Economic Times a dynamic internal engagement program that spans 300+ employees across departments. To bring this to life, we're looking for an intern who's equal parts communicator, doer, and live wire someone who can drive messages, create moments, and be on the ground as the heartbeat of this initiative.

This is not a desk-bound communications role. It's a hands-on, high-energy internship where you'll help drive internal momentum, spark real-time interactions, and keep the spirit of the organization buzzing every single day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Internal Communication
  • Craft and send daily/weekly messages across internal channels (WhatsApp, email, posters, etc.) to inform, energize, and unite teams around common goals.
  • Own On-Ground Execution
  • Be physically present on the floor to conduct engagement activities, run mini-events, coordinate leaderboard displays, ring the celebration bell (literally!), and spark daily excitement.
  • Plan Recognition & Motivation Rituals
  • Design and roll out recognition formats, shout-outs, surprise awards, and interactive moments that boost morale and visibility.
  • Work with Senior Leadership
  • Collaborate with business leaders and project owners to translate business milestones into engaging internal storytelling moments.
  • Track and Report Engagement
  • Maintain records of participation, feedback, and floor energy and bring creative suggestions based on what's working.

Who This Role Is For

  • Fresh graduates or early-career professionals looking to work at the intersection of communications, events, and business culture
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Energetic, approachable, and full of presence someone who lights up a room
  • Comfortable with fast-paced environments and last-minute execution
  • Creative thinker with a high bias for action
  • Graduate degree or pursuing Bachelor's in Journalism & Mass Communication final year is a plus
  • Interest in internal communications, storytelling, live events, or brand culture is a big plus

What You'll Get

  • A front-row seat to an internal transformation at one of India's most iconic media brands
  • The opportunity to own and shape how people feel, connect, and engage at work
  • Direct access to senior leadership, and the chance to work on a high-visibility initiative
  • A paid internship where your ideas and actions genuinely move the needle
