Job Title: Sourcing Intern (Private Brands) 6 Months
Location: Mumbai - Vikhroli
Internship Overview
Purplle began as a beauty retail platform and, over the past 12 years, has evolved into a strong digital-first brand house. Six years ago, we launched our Private Brands (PB) initiative, which has now grown into a portfolio of 10 fast-scaling brands with thousands of SKUs contributing significantly to overall revenue.
As we continue to expand our private brands and strengthen our supply chain capabilities, we are looking for a Sourcing Intern to support the PB sourcing and manufacturing function. This internship offers hands-on exposure to sourcing operations, production planning, supplier coordination, and performance tracking within a fast-paced D2C environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the sourcing team in supplier coordination and day-to-day sourcing activities
Assist in finalizing manufacturing and production plans in alignment with demand
Track daily production status and help identify delays or bottlenecks
Prepare and maintain reports related to sourcing, production, and supplier performance
Support quality checks and compliance documentation with manufacturing partners
Assist in issue resolution related to production, timelines, and supply constraints
Help analyze capacity utilization and resource planning opportunities
Key Skills & Competencies
Technical & Analytical Skills
Basic understanding of sourcing, supply planning, or demand planning concepts
Proficiency in MS Excel; exposure to ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) is an advantage
Project & Stakeholder Management
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Willingness to work with suppliers and cross-functional internal teams
Communication
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
Education & Eligibility
Recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Engineering, or a related field
Prior internship or academic exposure to supply chain or operations is a plus
