Research and Insights team at WSP India specializes in gathering, analyzing, and interpreting complex data to uncover valuable insights that inform strategic initiatives and operational efficiencies to the wider WSP business globally. This role will involve working closely with multiple stakeholders in delivering knowledge to enable impactful and innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
As an Intern, you will be responsible for the following:
- Perform qualitative and quantitative research and analysis on projects, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery of results.
- Analysing new/long-term trends impacting the market and benchmark performance data and relevant economic trends to developing intellectual assets.
- Develop and present strategic recommendations based on research findings to senior management and key stakeholders.
- Prepare detailed research reports, white papers, and presentations that communicate complex data and insights in an accessible manner.
- The candidate should possess the capability and curiosity to proactively engage with the stakeholders in sharing what is meaningful to the business and steering related conversations.
- Understand our top competitors; strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, approach to compete and win.
- Expand our knowledge of key opportunities and innovations in our industry to support growth
- Develop and refine research methodologies to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of data collection and analysis processes
- Develop and maintain end products in the form of a formal report (PowerPoint presentations, summary documents, or spreadsheet)
Key Competencies / Skills / Qualifications
Mandatory Skills
- Fresh graduates/post-graduates with 0-2 years of experience in business research and analysis
- Hands-on experience in PowerBI
- Good knowledge and experience on subjects such as Innovation, Technology (AI, GenAI), Change management, Strategy, Business transformation, Sustainability, Net Zero, among others
- Proactive and ability to convert information into insights with proven analytical skills
- Good knowledge of market and competitive intelligence
- Proficiency with MS-Office Suite with excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills and exposure to any other data analysis tools such as PowerBI
- International work exposure to work collaboratively in a global business environment
- Conducting interviews with internal and external subject matter experts
- Effective communication skills (written and verbal both)
- Strong business writing / report writing skills
- Strong analytical skills and expertise in structuring the problem
- Experience of working with senior stakeholders and leadership
Desired Skills
- Experience of working within Strategy environment
- Experience of working on subjects such as digital innovation, strategy, transformation, ESG, health, safety and environment
- Good understanding of professional services, engineering and environmental industries
Qualifications
- Post Graduate Diploma/Master's Degree preferably in Business Administration
