About Our Client Toorak Capital Partners

You will be part of a dedicated engineering team supporting Toorak Capital Partners, a leading U.S.-based integrated correspondent lending platform that funds residential, multifamily, and mixed-use real estate loans across the U.S. and U.K. Headquartered in Summit, New Jersey, Toorak's leadership team brings deep expertise across real estate lending, capital markets, securitization, asset management, and credit. To date, Toorak-funded projects have renovated or stabilized housing for 9,000+ families averaging 500+ families every month.This is a rare opportunity to build mission-critical, cloud-based mortgage technology platforms that directly support one of the most respected players in the global mortgage finance industry.

Role Overview

  • We are seeking a skilled and motivated QA Automation Intern with strong hands-on experience in JavaScript with Playwright (mandatory).
  • The ideal candidate will have strong coding abilities and experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium or Playwright (preferred), and Rest Assured for API testing.
  • You will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining robust automation frameworks, ensuring the quality and performance of our applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test Automation: Write, execute, and maintain automated tests using Selenium, Playwright, and Rest Assured.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to understand requirements and deliver automated tests accordingly.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive improvements in test automation processes and practices, ensuring scalability, reusability, and high performance of test suites.
  • Responsibility & Ownership: Take full responsibility for the automation tasks assigned, from design to execution and reporting.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment and adapt quickly to changing requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Hands-on Experience as QA Automation Intern: In automation testing, specifically for API and UI applications.
  • Strong Coding Skills: Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript with Automation Tools (Playwright/Cypress) with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.
  • Automation Frameworks: Experience in creating and maintaining automation frameworks using Cypress/Selenium/Playwright (preferred), with Rest Assured for API testing.
  • API Testing: Experience in designing and executing automated tests for RESTful APIs using tools like Postman, Rest Assured, or similar.
  • Version Control: Strong experience with version control systems like Git.
  • CI/CD Integration: Experience with integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
  • Agile Methodology: Comfort working in an Agile environment with fast iterations and continuous feedback.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly report test results and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Passion for Test Automation: A self-motivated individual with a passion for quality and test automation, always looking for innovative solutions and improvements.
  • Right Attitude: A proactive attitude towards taking on challenging work and responsibilities, with a positive approach to tackling complex tasks.

Stipend: 50,000/- Per Month Converted to full time on Performance.
