Responsibilities
1. PCB Design & Layout
- Assist in designing PCB layouts for power electronics circuits.
- Follow best practices for high-current, high-voltage, and thermal-critical layouts.
- Work with senior engineers to place components, route traces, and define stack-ups in EDA tools.
2. Schematic Capture & Documentation
- Support the creation and update of schematics for power management circuits.
- Help maintain design documentation, BOMs, assembly drawings, and revision history.
- Ensure design files follow organizational naming and versioning conventions.
3. Prototyping & Testing
- Support in PCB prototyping, assembly, and bench testing.
- Help test power converters, regulators, and protection circuits under various load conditions.
- Use lab equipment (DMM, oscilloscope, power analyzer, electronic load) under supervision to capture measurements.
5. Thermal & Safety Considerations
- Learn and apply thermal management techniques such as copper pours, vias, heatsinks, and component placement strategies.
- Follow safety guidelines for working with high-voltage and high-power systems.
6. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support
- Work with hardware, firmware, and mechanical teams to ensure proper integration of PCB designs.
- Attend design reviews and implement feedback from senior engineers.
- Assist in coordinating with PCB fabricators and assemblers when needed.
7. Continuous Learning & R&D Support
- Research new components, power topologies, and layout techniques for improving PCB performance.
- Support R&D tasks such as building test jigs, modifying existing boards, or validating new design concepts.
Qualifications
1. Candidates Pursuing EEE/ECE in B.E/B.Tech.
2. Candidates having basic understanding of power electronics components
3. Candidates having experience working on projects involving circuit design and analysis and pcb design
This is an internship role with a fixed stipend with other perks. Based on the performance and contribution, a full time role may be offered.
