What The Role Is
Under this internship programme, you will be attached to the Centre of Excellence for Civil and Structural Design & Research in HDB's Building & Research Institute.
What You Will Be Working On
During your internship, you will have the opportunity to participate in the project management of the Urbanwater Harvesting System (UWHS) implementation which includes but not limited to:
- Surveying site conditions
- Monitoring and collation of water meter readings from estates with UWHS implemented to track water and cost savings
- Managing stormwater modelling software to carry out hydrological analysis and create flood models. You should ideally be comfortable in using simulation software and have the patience and independent ability to actively troubleshoot errors or refine models
- Carrying out cost-benefit analysis
- Liaising and collaborating with various stakeholders to propose solutions to challenges faced in ongoing projects
- Researching on areas to improve existing workflows
- Conducting data analysis for the efficacy of the UWHS
In addition, you may be requested to assist in other initiatives and projects with HDB.

Preferred Disciplines: Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering
Remarks: If you are passionate about sustainability in the built environment and wish to gain hands-on experience in the field, we encourage you to apply for this project. Knowledge in AI/ Machine learning will be beneficial.
