Role Overview:

The Intern/Junior Executive, Public Policy, will support the public policy team in research, stakeholder engagement, and delivery of client mandates. The role involves close coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders, including government bodies, regulators, and industry associations. This position is suited for early-career professionals seeking hands-on exposure to public policy consulting and regulatory engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the team in conducting outreach to government bodies and relevant stakeholders on behalf of clients.
  • Undertake secondary and primary research on current policy issues, regulatory developments, and government programmes.
  • Support the drafting, editing, and review of policy briefs, reports, consultation responses, and communication materials.
  • Assist in stakeholder mapping and relationship management activities, including government liaison and public engagement initiatives.
  • Participate in internal meetings, capture key discussions, prepare minutes, and track project milestones and progress.
  • Monitor news developments across diverse sectors to identify policy-relevant updates, regulatory signals, and emerging issues.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to contribute to client deliverables and broader strategic initiatives.

 

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Current student or recent graduate in Public Policy, Law, Economics, Political Science, or a related discipline.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Research-oriented mindset with the ability to read, interpret, and synthesise policy documents and regulatory texts.
  • Demonstrated interest in public policy, governance, or the education and skills development ecosystem.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
