Our goal To make public services more equitable, efficient, and transparent across 30 countries by. We currently work with 7 national and 16 sub-national governments and impact the lives of over 1 billion citizens, in sectors such Public Finance, Water, Sanitation, Urban, Public Health, Social benefits, among others. We do this through our core offering DIGIT (Digital Infrastructure for Governance, Inclusion & Transformation), which is a digital public good. DIGIT, an open-source governance technology platform, works like an operating system to build, design, and scale digital transformation programs in as little as 100 days. About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated intern to support the documentation and knowledge management efforts for CARE HMIS, an open-source Hospital Management Information System.

The intern will work closely with product, partnerships, and engineering teams to create high-quality documentation that enables System Integrator (SI) partners and implementers to successfully deploy and operate CARE HMIS.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain functional, technical, and implementation documentation for CARE HMIS.
• Develop user guides, implementation manuals, SOPs, process flows, and training materials.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and implementation teams to understand system workflows and document them clearly.
• Document APIs, configurations, integrations, and deployment processes.
• Organize and structure knowledge repositories for easy access and reuse.
• Support the creation of partner enablement and onboarding materials.
• Review and update existing documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Preferred Qualifications

• Undergraduate or postgraduate student in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, Public Health, or a related field.
• Excellent written communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to understand and simplify complex software products, workflows, and processes.
• Basic understanding of software systems, APIs, system architecture, and technical concepts.
• Familiarity with healthcare or health-tech systems is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
