Internship Opportunity: Intern - (Data & Semantic Modeler)
We're excited to offer an internship opportunity in our Data Office team! As a Data & Semantic Modeler intern, you'll have the chance to work on designing and implementing enterprise-wide canonical models, including ontologies and taxonomies. Your main goal will be to help build a model repository that integrates structured data from multiple sources into AI-ready assets.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and developing enterprise-wide canonical models (ontologies and taxonomies)
- Learn and contribute to building a model repository that bridges data from multiple silos (RDBMS and other sources) into knowledge-driven assets
- Collaborate with our team to understand traditional data modeling concepts (SQL, ER modeling) and semantic/knowledge representation (ontologies, RDF, OWL, SKOS)
- Assist in data modeling and semantic modeling tasks under the guidance of experienced team members
- Learn and gain hands-on experience with data modeling tools and technologies
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field.
- Entry level or 0 - 2 Years of work experience.
- Basic knowledge of dimensional modeling concepts (e.g., SQL, data structures)
- Python Programming
- Willingness to learn and explore semantic/knowledge representation concepts (ontologies, RDF, OWL, SKOS)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
