What The Role Is
Under this internship programme, you will be attached to the Centre of Excellence for Architecture & Digital Design in HDB's Building & Research Institute, where you will gain hands-on experience in architectural design for public housing. You will work closely with HDB architects on multiple Build-To-Order (BTO) projects, from early concept development to project completion, contributing to projects that shape Singapore's urban landscape.
Your Responsibilities Include
What you will be working on
- Assisting with detailed design development, technical drawings and tender drawings
- Creating 3D models and visualisations
- Supporting the preparation of BTO launch materials
- Reviewing shop drawings and preparing variation orders
- Assisting with authority submissions and site coordination
You Will Collaborate With Engineers, Landscape Architects, Environmental Specialists And Building Information Modelling (BIM) Teams, Gaining Insight Into How Large Public Housing Projects Are Coordinated. Depending On The Project, You May Also Explore
- Computational design, digital prototyping and environmental performance analysis
- Advanced design tools and emerging technologies in modern public housing design
This internship provides exposure to all stages of the design-construction process, allowing you to assist in both the creative design and technical execution of BTO projects, while learning about BIM integration and multi-disciplinary coordination.
